In our last newsletter, Ray White Beecroft alerted owners and tenants to the prospect of changes to the NSW Residential Tenancy Laws. We asked the Office of Fair Trading to keep us informed of progress, and they have just sent us an email saying that the new law will come into effect on 31 January 2011. Their email advises that "More information about the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 will be available on the Fair Trading website once the new laws commence in late January 2011". It does seem to be more appropriate to release that information before the laws commence, but still.
